HPE ProLiant Servers are found all around the world. In the countries we cover for selling refurbished servers, HPE ProLiant servers dominate. As the years progress, we anticipate an increasing number of requests for the Gen11 servers. Given this trend, we decided to delve deep into this series, focusing on the most popular version, the DL380.
Late last year, HPE unveiled a new lineup of ProLiant Gen11 servers. These were meticulously designed to harness the power of both AMD Genoa processors and the recently launched 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs.
The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 stands out as a dual-socket server, neatly housed in a 2U form factor. Crafted for the most demanding workloads, it boasts of advanced scalability, making it apt for tasks that require cutting-edge DPUs and GPUs. Whether your focus is on virtualization, private cloud solutions, or data management, the DL380 Gen11 emerges as a top contender.
One of its standout features is its adaptability in storage configurations. Users have the flexibility to choose between 36 E3.S SSDs in the front bays or 18 E3.S 2T drives. Traditional hard drives and 2.5″ NVMe configurations are also on the table. Moreover, this server can house up to 8 drives in its midplane, with options for 4LFF or 6SFF bays at the rear. If storage isn't your primary concern, the rear space can be repurposed for PCIe expansion, even supporting up to 8 GPUs.
Key Specifications:
Drive Supported: Options range from 8 or 12 LFF SAS/SATA/SSD to 8, 16, or 24 SFF SAS/SATA/SSD, depending on the configuration. There's also an option for 6 SFF rear drives or 2 SFF rear drives. For those looking at NVMe, 20 SFF NVMe is optional. However, using NVMe support via the Express Bay will limit the maximum drive capacity, depending on the model.
