The Dell PowerEdge R760, a 16th-generation, 2U rackmount server, is the larger sibling to the 1U R660. It supports two 4th-gen Intel Xeon processors with up to 56 cores and 128 threads each, plus up to 8TB of RAM across 32 DIMM slots.
Built for mixed workloads, databases, and VDI, the R760 can host up to 24 NVMe drives and supports platforms compatible with EDSFF E3.S SSDs—the only Gen5 SSDs it supports, as the U.2 slots are limited to Gen4.
