The Dell PowerEdge R760, a 16th-generation 2U rackmount server, is the larger sibling of the 1U R660. It supports up to two 4th-Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors (socket LGA4677), each with up to 56 cores and 128 threads, 350W TDP, and Intel QuickAssist Technology. With 12 memory channels per CPU and 32 DDR5 DIMM slots, it delivers up to 8 TB of registered ECC memory running at speeds up to 4800 MT/s.

Built for mixed workloads, databases, VDI, and AI inference, the R760 can host up to 24 NVMe drives and supports EDSFF E3.S Gen5 SSDs, while its U.2 NVMe bays are limited to Gen4. SATA and SAS drives are also supported through Dell PERC RAID controllers.
